Mets Offseason Review
*Note This blog is longer than you can expect from us, we felt it's only right to put a bow on the offseason before we dive into 2023!* Well, folks, we have finally made it! Pitchers and catchers are reporting and before you know it, the WBC and Spring Training games will be in full swing. Let's review the Met offseason. Highlights: Justin Verlander: Verlander is a bulldog, you know exactly what you’re getting when you sign him. Getting him right after losing deGrom(more on him in a bit) really took away some of that pain. Coming off a Cy Young year in which he pitched to a 1.75 ERA with 18 wins, a 5.9 WAR, and a WHIP of .829, it is safe to say his injury is in the past, and while we cannot expect the same type of production as what he displayed last years, the Mets penchant of having a double ace rotation will undoubtedly continue in 2023. Kodai Senga: Senga was a surprise in my eyes, I really saw him staying somewhere on the west coast, but alas, Steve gets what he want...
